The Position – Women’s & Children’s Clinical Director

We are looking for an exceptional medical leader to join the team as Clinical Director – Women’s and Children’s Division. In this role, you will be responsible for medical governance, leadership and coordination of care for women and neonates accessing services. 

Your main duties will include:
• Oversight of clinical medical practice and ongoing management of patients within the Division.
• Participate in collaborative education, training and professional development requirements of staff within the service, in line with professional standards, College requirements and the hospital priorities.
• Collaborate with Women’s Health Services and consumers in the ACT, for the planning and provision of services that best meet the needs of the community, in line with the hospitals strategic priorities.
• Management, monitoring and coordination of specific clinical governance processes to ensure patient safety including mortality & morbidity meetings, clinical review and investigation, and active participation in the organisational wide clinical governance. 
• Supervise the recruitment, professional development, competencies and utilisation of the medical workforce to meet service and patient needs.

Hours: Full time
Grade: Senior Specialist 
Salary (not including superannuation): $254,198 per annum
Other financial elements: Management allowance level 1, On-call/recall allowance, Right of Private Practice Allowance Scheme A, salary packaging benefits (Maxxia as our provider)
Relocation Allowance: Up to $12,000 – for use within the provisions of the policy and upon submission of receipts.
