The Position – Locum GP VMO – Medical Practice / Hospital – Kimba, Cleve, Elliston & Wudinna

Locations include: Medical Practices : Kimba, Cleve, Elliston & Wudinna

• Varied Dates 20th March 2023 – 15th Dec 2023
• $2000 per full day
• General Practice + Shared ON CALL
• Shared GP roster, to include mixture of General Practice and Hospital Oncall
• Minimum 2 days on call per week
• ONCALL 24/7 when in Wudinna
• Travel and accommodation provided

This position is best suited for a GP VMO.

The Location – Medical Practice / Hospital – Kimba, Cleve, Elliston & Wudinna, SA.

 The Mid-Eyre Medical Practice includes Cleve, Kimba, Elliston, and Cowell. It is currently also supporting Wudinna.

It’s well-serviced in terms of amenities, the central location makes it a great place to stay a few days and take in the surrounding areas, and you’ll be welcomed with open arms.

With plenty of trails to explore and the beach not far away, Cleve is a great spot to base yourself and enjoy some country hospitality. 

As the eastern gateway to the Gawler Ranges, Kimba provides a great base to explore the national park. Discover history at the local museum, check out the walking trails and local art and enjoy the small town hospitality of the welcoming locals.

Elliston is a small coastal town in the Australian state of South Australia on the west coast of Eyre Peninsula 169 km northwest of Port Lincoln and 641 km west of Adelaide.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum GP VMO Emergency Department position, applicants must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork. Applicants must also have the below to be considered for this position:

• Rural eMeds required prior to starting placement
• Needs to have refer and request billing rights under Medicare
