The Position – Locum GP VMO – Medical Practice / Hospital

Locations include: Coober Pedy Medical Practice / Hospital

• Varied Dates 31 March 2023 – Jan 2024
• $2500 per full day & $1250 fly in / fly out (Fridays Only)
• Consulting from clinic with SHARED on call ( X 2 GP Roster)
• Shared GP roster, to include mixture of General Practice and Hospital Oncall
• 1 Paid day off on Weekend
• Travel and accommodation provided

This position is best suited for a GP VMO.

The Location – Coober Pedy, SA.

Coober Pedy is a town in northern South Australia, 846 km north of Adelaide on the Stuart Highway. The town is sometimes referred to as the “opal capital of the world” because of the quantity of precious opals that are mined there. 

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum GP VMO Emergency Department position, applicants must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork. Applicants must also have the below to be considered for this position:

• Rural eMeds required prior to starting placement
• Needs to have refer and request billing rights under Medicare
