The Position – Locum Locum GP VMO Emergency Department

Yarrabah is an indigenous community located 51 km from Cairns. Yarrabah Hospital provides 24 hours emergency and accident care only.

• 16.06.23 – 25.06.23  –   SMO with FRACGP and ED experience
• 26.06.23 – 29.06.23 with oncall on 26^th and 29^th – SMO with FRACGP and ED experience
• 31.08.23 – 12.10.23 – SMO with FRACGP and ED experience
• Rate $2,100.00 per shift

The Location – Yarrabah, QLD

Yarrabah traditionally Yagaljida in the Yidin language spoken by the indigenous Yidinji people is a coastal town and locality in the Aboriginal Shire of Yarrabah, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, the locality of Yarrabah recorded a population of 2,559 people. It is an Aboriginal community.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum Medical Registrar position, applicants must have General Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork. Applicants must also have the following to be considered for this position:

• Rural eMeds required prior to starting placement
• Current Resume
• QLD working with children required
• 2 x current professional peer references of the same speciality as the applicant (one from supervisor and both signed by referee)
• Copies of qualifications
