The Position – Locum VR GP

• VR GP required for a placement in the Tiwi Islands from the 11th of April through until 12th of May, 2023
• Rate of pay is $1,800 per day – no public holidays will be required
• Hours are from 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday. Oncall is a nurse initially and if required will connect to one of the 2 GP’s working at the post
• Travel and Accommodation provided

The Location – Tiwi Islands, NT

This locum opportunity will be based in the community of Julanimawu (Nguiu) in the Afafura Sea approximately 70km north east of Darwin. It is accessible via daily air and ferry service from Darwin. There are two small supermarkets on the island, a take away store, clinic with nurses and permanent doctor, police station, child care centre, a Catholic primary and secondary school along with a Catholic church.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum General Practitioner position, applicants must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork. Applicants must also have the following to be considered for this position:

• Current CV and references that are no more than 6 months old
• Fellowship
• Full Medical Indemnity
• COVID 19 Vaccination evidence
• 100 points ID
