The Position O&G Registrar on-going work.

Griffith Base Hospital Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service provides care for 500-550 births per year and a specialist obstetrics and gynaecology clinic.

The O&G CMO role includes the following duties:

  • Daily ward rounds Monday to Friday with the on-call doctor attending weekend ward rounds
  • General O&G ward duties including discharge summaries
  • Assessments of women presenting to the maternity unit
  • Emergency Department gynaecology consults
  • Assisting at O&G theatre lists
  • Support specialist run O&G clinics (CMOs don’t have their own clinic but may be called to help the specialist in their clinic)
  • Participate in an on-call roster

$1500.00 per day

12-16 May, 19-23 May

0800-1700 and oncall

The Location – Griffith, NSW

Griffith is a major regional city in the north-western Riverina region of New South Wales, known commonly as the food bowl of Australia. It is also the seat of the City of Griffith local government area. Like the Australian capital, Canberra, and extensions to the nearby town of Leeton, Griffith was designed by Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin.[3] Griffith was named after Arthur Hill Griffith, the then New South Wales Secretary for Public Works.[4] Griffith was proclaimed a city in 1987,[5] and at the 2021 census had a population of 20,569.[1]

It can be accessed by road from Sydney and Canberra via the Hume Highway and the Burley Griffin Way and from Melbourne, via the Newell Highway and either by using the Kidman Way or the Irrigation Way. Griffith can be accessed from other places like AdelaideOrange, and Bathurst through the Mid-Western Highway and the Rankins Springs road from Rankins Springs and the Kidman Way from Goolgowi.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum position, applicants must have General Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork. Applicants must also have the following to be considered for this position:

  • Rural eMeds required prior to starting placement
  • NSW working with children required
