The Position – Locum Director of Medical Services

• Based in North West Tasmania covering both North West Regional and Mersey Hospitals
• $2500 per rostered day plus travel and accommodation
• Doctor must hold current FRACMA
• This position will report to and provide support to the Executive Director of Medical Services
• Participate in a rotational on call roster as requested

The Location – North West, Tasmania

The North West Coast is a region of Tasmania on the north coast of Tasmania to the west of Port Sorell, Tasmania. It includes towns such as Devonport, Burnie, Wynyard, Ulverstone, Penguin, Smithton and Stanley

The region is characterised by its rugged beauty, from coastlines to agricultural lands. It is a key gateway for the MS Spirit of Tasmania II ferry, which docks at Devonport.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum Medical Registrar position, applicants must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork. Applicants must also have the following to be considered for this position:

• FRACMA Certificate
• Current CV
• 100 Points of ID
• Current references X 2
• Full Medical Indemnity (not Employer Indemnified)
• MBBS
• AHPRA Registration (without any restrictions)
• National Police Check
• Working with Vulnerable People/Children
• Immunisation History Statement, available from the Australian Immunisation Register
• Fellowship Certificate
• Current College Continuing Professional Development evidence
