The Position – Locum Consultant Psychiatrist

Broken Hill Hospital require a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist for the urgent vacancy below:

• 1330 Sunday 1 October until 1330 Sunday 8 October 2023
• $3000 per day worked
• Travel and sole accomodation provided
• General Psychiatry role
• May include assessment of children/adolescents under shared care arrangements with on-site Paediatrician, older adults and drug/alcohol mental health patients, with 24/7 virtual support from Networked Specialist Psychiatry Services
• Broken Hill Hospital is a rural teaching hospital, providing a 10-bed Emergency Department as well as general medical, surgical, obstetric, paediatric, dialysis, oncology unit and acute mental health beds, operating theatres, specialist palliative care, intensive and coronary care units

The Location – Broken Hill, New South Wales

Broken Hill is Australia’s oldest mining town, with a colonial history dating back to the 1880s. Poised dramatically above the landscape, the Line of Lode Miner’s Memorial celebrates the life and work of more than 800 miners who lost their lives here.

This striking memorial provides a commanding view of the town.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum Consultant Psychiatrist position, applicants must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork.
