The Position – Locum Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

The Mount Gambier & District Health Service is seeking the assistance of an O&G SPECIALIST for the following periods:

• Commencing 08:00 Monday, 2 October 2023 and concluding at 08:00 Monday, 30 October 2023 (inclusive).
• Rate: $3000 per day – escalated rate due to urgency
• Rate is all inclusive of oncall and call backs
• Travel, accommodation + car hire costs covered by hospital
• The doctor will be required to work in liaison with the onsite Specialist O&Gs to provide outpatient clinics and O&G services for theatre lists.
• The doctor will also be required to work in liaison with the onsite Staff Specialist to provide on call services.
• The after-hours O&G on call will be supported by the Emergency Department medical staff.

The Location – Mount Gambier, South Australia

Located almost smack-bang between Adelaide and Melbourne on South Australia’s Limestone Coast, Mount Gambier has got it all: caves, volcanoes, lakes, ocean, wildlife, quirky accommodation, fantastic food and world-class wineries.

It’s known for its limestone, volcanic landscape and crater lakes. One of these, Blue Lake, turns cobalt blue in summer. Nearby, the Centenary Tower offers panoramic views of the area. 

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist position, applicants must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork.
