The Position – Locum Consultant Rheumatologist

Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service has a requirement for a Consultant Locum Rheumatologist at Toowoomba Hospital over the following dates

• Monday 8 January 2024 until Sunday 28 January 2024
• $2100 per rostered day
• Role includes rheumatology clinics (new patients and reviews), triage incoming referrals, PBS applications (biologic and targeted synthetic agents), minimal inpatient consults
• Locum will be only rheumatologist on site
• Locum may be requested to work across general medicine as well
• Monday to Friday 0800-1630. Oncall for general medicine will be required and will be advised closer to time
• Accommodation is provided for the duration of the placement
• Return economy travel to and from Toowoomba is provided. If locum is driving their own vehicle, mileage can be claimed for the return trip at 37.5 c/km
• It is mandatory for the locum to obtain a rebateable provider number prior to commencement.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum Consultant Rheumatologist position, applicants must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork.
