The Position – Locum Consultant General Surgeon

Lismore Base Hospital are seeking an experienced Locum Consultant General Surgeon to undertake daily ward rounds, cover Clinics, ASU and our Network Surgical Lists which are scheduled across Lismore, Ballina and Casino Hospitals

• Tuesday 17th October 2023 thorugh until Thursday 9th November 2023
• The Specialist will be required to cover Monday to Friday normal business hours as well as participate in rostered on call
• Theatre Lists routinely commence 0700 hours each day and go to 1800 hours
• Daily rate is $2500/day (24hour period) all-inclusive plus super
• The hospital will provide accommodation if available, hire car and reimburse reasonable travel
• Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral Level 5 base hospital with state-of-the-art operating theatre suite, ICU/CCU, imaging, Cardiac Cath Lab and most major specialties and subspecialties
• Lismore Base Hospital Emergency Department is a comprehensive level 5 Emergency Department and is the designated Trauma Centre for Northern NSW with on-site roof top helipad as part of our Retrieval Service

The Location – Lismore, New South Wales

Lismore is a city located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia and the main population centre in the City of Lismore local government area, it is also a regional centre in the Northern Rivers region of the state.

Lismore is 734 km north of Sydney and 200 km south of Brisbane.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum Consultant General Surgeon position, applicants must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork.
