The Position – Locum Consultant General Medicine

Bundaberg Hospital in sunny Queensland require a Locum Consultant General Medicine for the below vacancy:

• Monday 25th September until Sunday 19th November 2023
• $2400 per rostered shift
• Exact roster with oncall to be confirmed at time of booking
• Shifts with be a mixture between AM, PM and possible NS
• Travel and accommodation provided
• Ideally looking for coverage for larger blocks of time
• Minimum 7 day requirement for a contract to be issued

The Location – Bundaberg, Queensland

Bundaberg is an Australian city on Queensland’s coast. It’s known for Bundaberg Rum, and the Bundaberg Distillery offers museum tours and tastings. Bundaberg Botanic Gardens is home to the Hinkler Hall of Aviation, dedicated to solo long-distance pilot Bert Hinkler.

Nearby on the coast is Mon Repos Regional Park, home to sea turtles, and offshore is Lady Elliot Island, part of the Great Barrier Reef.

Bundaberg has a rich history and culture, along with its humid subtropical climate it is known for its weeping fig trees, dry stone walls, and historic plantations, including the Fairymead Plantation and the Sunnyside Sugar Plantation, the latter of which is the site of a mass grave.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum Consultant Locum General Medicine position, applicants must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork.
