The Position – Locum Consultant Emergency Medicine

Katherine Hospital require a Locum Consultant Emergency Medicine for the following periods:

• FACEM or FARRM suitable role
• 18th August through until 28th August 2023
• $3000 per rostered day
• Flights, hire car and accommodation provided
• Advanced specialist training in ED required
• Emergency medicine certificate/diploma with ACEM
• Management of paediatric and neonatal patients including early resuscitation
• Independent management of Non-invasive ventilation
• Early management of critical care level patients with vasopressors peripherally such as metaraminol with insertion of an arterial line.

The Location – Katherine, Northern Territory

Katherine is a town in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is situated on the Katherine River, after which it is named, 320 kilometres southeast of Darwin. It is the fourth largest settlement in the Territory and is known as the place where “The outback meets the tropics”.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this Locum Consultant Emergency Medicine position, applicants must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA and complete all required paperwork.
